CHIC
Turns out the word "chic" actually looks pretty chic with a dancer leaping through the middle of it.
Overview
This design was printed on a soft blue sweatshirt with a simple two color approach. The word "CHIC" is spelled out in tall outlined letters that frame a dark gray dancer silhouette mid leap. The dancer breaks through the typography, creating movement and energy across the chest. The contrast between the outlined letters and solid silhouette gives it depth without getting too complicated.
Results
The sweatshirt was designed to be stylish but not over the top. The minimalist design and trendy color were meant to make it easy to wear with anything. The goal was to give the studio a sophisticated look that worked for both younger dancers and older competitive team members.
